With access to more than one game board you can facilitate multi-team sessions.
Setting the stage
There is a quite a bit of information to share in order to get multiple teams started. Take your time, allow for at least 10-15 minutes to get your group ready to play. Share what type of business they are. How they make a profit. And what roles are involved (designate and brief roles at this time).
Pre-set the boards
In this instance, one board is set-up already for the start of Day 9. Walk all participants throught the game instructions per the facilitator guide, until you reach the beginning of Day 10.
The 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th… boards are all pre-set to the beginning of Day 10. the teams are now ready to start playing getKanban.
I frequently start up to 5 games simultaneously using this technique. (Tip – pairing with another facilitator creates a better experience for the room).
